Fall Classic a Success
The first full-scale meet of the year by the HBT swimmers (and parents) was a huge succcess. It was great to see the progression of many of our "rookies" and even by the "veterans". It was the first big step to our end-of-season goals.
With so many PB's (personal best times) by everyone, it would take up too much space to write everybodies name. Special cudos go out to those making new SE Championship standards: Finley Clutts (13)- 400 IM, 200 free, 100,200 fly, 1650 free; Peyton Clutts (11)- 50 back, 50 fly; Shelby Hall (14)- 200 free, 200 breast, 200 IM, 100 breast; Jaime Mans (10)- 50, 200 free, 50, 100 breast, 50 fly, 100, 200 IM; Kaitlin Mans (12)- 50, 100 breast; Tailin Pan (12)- 50, 100 free, 50 breast; Natalie Swindle (14)- 100, 200 back, 1000 free; Kreable Young (16)- 100 breast, 200 IM; Michael Correro (15)- 1650 free and Ali Smith (15)- 500, 1650 free, 200 fly.

USA Swimming Votes to Restrict Certain Swimsuits for 12&Under Swimmers!
At the 2008 United States Aquatic Sports Convention in Atlanta, USA Swimming's House of Delegates voted to restrict the use of certain "high tech" swimsuits for 12 & Under competition. The legislation will restrict swimmers ages 12 and younger from wearing suits of any material that extend past the kneecap, past the shoulder, or above the neck. The rule applies to swims contested in age group defined competition (i.e. 11-12 or 10&Under category). The legislation does not restrict the use of these suits for swims contested in an "Open" or "Senior" category allowing the few 12 year old swimmers who have advanced to the National level the opportunity to wear these suits in major national competitions such as the US Open or Junior Nationals. It is understood that this legislation will become effective on May 15, 2009
